I couldn’t wait to meet this family, from the moment they first contacted me about a photo session. They were eagerly expecting their second sweet baby and wanted one last session as a family of three; celebrating their time with their firstborn, Laith, before baby brother arrived. Samia and Ramon are loving, involved parents, and they were so fun to work with.
Sami suggested a local coffee shop for their shoot, a place that they love, and that she felt reflected the energy of their family. They wanted something casual and lighthearted, that captured their love of family, and their neighborhood of Logan Circle. This darling cafe was in Blagdon Alley, which is centered among wide streets filled with public art and cozy businesses spilling out into the valley. It’s a very beautiful, eclectic spot thats filled with curiosities and urban textures. We got started at their warm and inviting home, where Laith couldn’t wait to show off toys and favorite nooks, and then headed to the coffee shop. We all enjoyed exploring the art installations, and I loved seeing things through the eyes of their busy little one!
We plan to capture another shoot when baby brother arrives, and I can’t wait. I love documenting this type of shoot, which is casual and beautiful, and really shows bits and pieces of life.
