When the leaves start changing, families begin thinking about what kind of session that they want. Although I love a good “leaves in the fall” type shoot, because they naturally lend themselves to a gorgeous setting, I also love these everyday moments. Oliver’s mom and dad thought long and hard about what kind of shoot they wanted this fall, and they settled on quiet, easy hour with me in their home. My favorite part of these shoots is the way that families learn to fall in love with their every day lives…all the little moments like eating breakfast together, or playing outside. These kinds of shoots feel memorable, soulful, and are always filled with images that show the true personalities of the little ones.
Meeting Oliver meant I also got to discover his feet love for race cars. We are talking new depths of love, folks. He loved showing off his favorites, and my inner creative loved the rainbow of colorful enamel! We had some funny moments while getting ready for the day, that I think just about every parent of a preschooler can relate to. After enjoying a giant cinnamon roll and playing trains, we rounded out our morning together.
I’m currently booking in-home family sessions for February and March! Reach out to us soon to secure your spot before winter dates are gone!
