Washington DC’s iconic
cherry blossom bloom is one of our city’s most cherished traditions.
In spite of the crowds, road closures, parking nightmare, and the general hubbub that goes along with it, it is still sublime to walk under the fluffy pink flowering trees as the sun rises over the Tidal Basin and let a little magic into your life.
(Seriously, every year I think I won’t shoot these again next year, but every spring I get giddy about the blooms…)
We had some lovely pictures this year, both on the Tidal Basin and at our backup location at the National Cathedral. I’ll share some of my favorites. You can also see more from this and past years in my Cherry Blossom portfolio.
Thanks to all of the families who braved the obstacles to join me under the pink trees for the 2015 Cherry Blossom mini-sessions.
