{children} Savannah Woods, part one | Washington DC children’s photographer

I barely know where to start in sharing the experiences in my 1:1 workshop with photographer Michelle L. Morris, in Savannah, GA.

So I’m just going to start with the photos.

There’s definitely a magic in the low-country woods of coastal Georgia. The tall, naked-trunked pines create shafts of golden light at sunset. These pockets of light create the ethereal look we wanted to capture. And then we just invited these beautiful girls be girls — poised, earnest, shy, bold, and lit from within as much as they are lit by the setting sun in these woods.

I’m so grateful to Michelle for opening up her amazing understanding of light, photography and children to me, opening my eyes to breathtaking possibility.
