“we don’t want posed…
our little girl just doesn’t sit still for the camera, and it doesn’t really feel like us. We want photos of us…being ourselves. Can we do that?”
Those words were music to my ears.
“Yes!” I assured Amanda, “We can make family photographs that are relaxed, documentary and *still* worthy of a place on your walls – let me show you how we do it.”
We met at a cafe mid-morning in December, and, well, just let things unfold naturally. Their job: enjoy each other, be themselves, be open to suggestions. My job: let them be, and use all my intuition and skill to capture the moments the tell their story.
It was lovely.
