Myra and Hugo and Family

When I started working with these beautiful people, their little Myra was just a tiny newborn. They went from a duo to a trio, and learned how to be a family. I’ve watched them grow and change, and it’s been a delight to be part of their lives as their photographer. Now, little Myra is her own person, full of spunk and light. Best of all, she just became a big sister to Hugo, and mom and dad are overjoyed.

This family wanted a low-key, stress-free, no pressure environment to document their growing brood, so we met at their house, and followed up at the nearby playground. Myra was more than pleased to play tour-guide, and showed me her playroom. One of my favorite images from this session is the one of her on the “phone” with her Bubbe…it is so sweet, innocent and loving. Some of the other photographers who do documentary style images don’t like working on playgrounds, but I LOVE it- it is the place where kids feel most natural, wild, and silly! It also offers so much life and movement, which means I can document kids in a truly authentic way. Myra loves movement, and I made sure to create images that capture how it feels to be a little kid moving fast on the swings or the spinners! Little Mr. Hugo snoozed through most of our session, but I’m sure it won’t  be long before he’s keeping up with sis!

I’d love to spend the day with you and your little ones…I adore working with children and their loved ones, and you can get started right HERE!
