{sneak peek} A Fresh48 + Newborn Session for Anna Judith | Alexandria VA Newborn Photographer

two and half years ago

I met Kate and Keith to photograph Kate’s very pregnant tummy. They were completely awesome human beings, but even so I would never have guessed that in such a short time we’d become such good friends.

A few months later I went to their home to photograph newborn Emily, and we met several times that next year, photographing Emily’s milestones together. And when Kate told me they were expecting baby #2, I was SO excited because I knew it meant another year of milestones with this beautiful family! Another fall maternity session, and another winter newborn session, this time including a Fresh48 at the hospital and the delight of a big sister getting to know her new baby sister!

Particularly lovely to me, baby Anna Judith’s middle name is after her grandmother, who passed away just a few weeks before Anna arrived. Kate’s mom Judith was a frequent commenter on my Facebook page – whether it was her own grand baby, or anyone else’s, she had sweet compliments for all the children I am so lucky to photograph. A framed picture of her was on a table in the living room where we took Anna’s pictures, and I could sense her love in the room.

Welcome, Anna!

I’ll have more to share soon, but for now, a sneak peek:

Getting to visit in the hospital and document these moments really just makes me so emotional and in love with photography and the families I work with. It’s a great feeling and I’m glad that came through to you! XO, KatieReplyCancel
