{sneak peek} A passel of cousins

passel: a large group of people or things; a pack

One of my dear long-time clients set up a family session at their Northwest DC home to capture the delightful experience of having her brother and sister-in-law visiting from Canada for the holidays. In addition to Caroline’s two adorable children ages 3, and 2 months, the six cousins ranged from six to fifteen. They were just as fun and sweet as they look in these pictures — I even hung around for coffee afterward just to chat with them. I talked photography and lenses with the oldest, admired the artistic work of another, and learned a little bit about coding video games from another. I’m not even kidding.

Here are just a few of the great group and individual portraits we took that morning — I’ll share more after their lucky parents have had a chance to see!

PS. I love photographing older kids — don’t stop taking portraits just because your son or daughter isn’t a preschooler anymore!
